Weight Loss
I never realized how hard it really is to lose weight. I want to be SKINNY!!!! Like I was when I was younger. In high school, people used to think i was sick cause I was so skinny. I dont wanna be THAT skinny, but thinner then I am right now. It's so frustrating. especially when the gym is so expensive. Is there anything I can do for exercise that will help me lose weight?? I want to lose weight for next summer, hopefully when we get married. I want to look totally different then I do now. I have an old picture of me when i was younger, I look totally different. Oh well, thats life, I cant change over nite. But im hoping I will get my butt in gear and lose some weight.

have you checked out sparkpeople.com yet? Its a great tool. I highly recomend calorie counting. Look into see what kind of fitness classes are offered around town. I just joined a class that is like tae bo and its only $40 a month. Running is my other favorite for weight loss. and don't say you can't cause you can! start out slow and work your way up to running! You can do it!
Hey Sarah, I understand the financial reasons for feeling like you aren't able to excersize. I can't afford the gym either. I would recommend walking. It's free, easy and I promise you will see results. I always lose weight(when I am serious about it) by walking at least 4 days a week for about an hour. Doesn't seem like much but it works! In regards to food just start making smarter choices...brown bread, veggies, chicken or fish, salads, fruit etc... Treat yourself once and awhile though! Drink lot's of water too! And take your time. If you have a goal of next summer you can definatly do it! A pound or 2 a week will make a huge difference over time! And before you know it you are the bride you want to be! I am excited for you!!
One more thing...Don't worry if you have a bad day! Just start fresh tommorrow! Every day is a new day!
HI! I sure identify with you! I think I went to bed one night skinny and woke up the next morning and I was chubby. Walking and jogging are great ideas and I'm going to try them. And I'm going to stop using my exercise bike as a place to put laundry...

Hey slarah!! I miss you bud! I wish you were here to exercise with me! It is so much better and motivating when you have someone to do it with! I heard a good quote, try to remember it: "Nothing tastes as good as thin feels" . I know first hand that eating healthy is hard and it sucks but you know the truth is, when you see the pounds coming off on the scale, it is totally worth it!! Everything you eat, get fat free if there is such a thing, and only whole wheat breads. Skim milk. Low/no sugar products. I have some good food ideas for ya that actually taste good and are low in fat. Now enough with the food and onto the exercise. You have the elliptical, get it out and use it! It is hard to get into the swing of things at first but once you get going it will be good! Get a bike if you can (and a helmet!) and ride it everywhere. Take stairs instead of elevators. Every little bit counts! The worst part is, no chocolate!!! ahhhh!! If we can do this, one day we will be wearin bikinis and havin the men drooling over us! It is going to be so worth it in the end! Just think about how good you will feel about yourself and the new clothes you will be able to buy! I know it is tough, but not only for your confidence is exercise important, but also your health! When you wanna have kids, if you lose weight first, it will be easier to lose the weight after the baby is born rather than keep packing on pounds! Plus you will be able to set a good example for your kids by going out and exercising! Yay exercise!!! You can do eeet!!! Love ya dude! Miss you! xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo
